years old village of the Paphos district
The History of Drouseia
Drouseia is one of the historical villages of the Paphos district, with roots that go back to the medieval period. Sources mention the village in maps and archives from the Lusignan era, while the wider area was inhabited as early as the 10th century.
The name of the community probably derives from the word “dew”, due to its cool and healthy climate, which made it a traditional summer retreat.
